One of Ireland’s top ranked and undefeated amateur welterweights Ayo Daly will step up for a late notice fight and will make his professional debut in Lithuania on March 14th in the popular KOK (King of Kings) promotion. This news comes just a day after Artem Lobov stated he is taking a late notice title fight in Poland the very same weekend.
The Team Ryano fighter, who is fresh off his title win at Chaos 14, was originally supposed to make his pro debut in Dublin later this year but has decided now is a good time to make the jump to the professional ranks.
“Gotta strike while the iron’s hot; With that being said, after the success of Saturday and coming out unscathed I will be taking a short notice pro fight in Lithuania on March 14th,” he said via his facebook page.
His opponent will be Matas Stebuliauskas who is 3-2, according to his Sherdog. The Lithuanian is a striking based fighter and a quick YouTube search of him reveals he has a lot of experience fighting in K-1.
Below is a highlight reel video on Stebuliauskas:
According to Sherdog this is his last MMA fight from 2012, a first round TKO.
The time before that he defeated another opponent by submission just 20 seconds into their fight.
