Artem Lobov takes last minute title fight in Poland

One of Europe’s most underrated fighters Artem Lobov (11-10-1, 1 NC) is stepping up to the plate once again. This time he is flying to Poland to take on Adrian Zielinski (13-3) in the main event of XCAGE 7 -PLMMA50 in 10 days time.

Lobov has a long history of taking late notice fights against some of the toughest opponents out there and this will be another one to add to the belt. Normally a featherweight, Lobov will step up to lightweight in this fight. ‘The Prospect Killer’ comes into this fight unbeaten in his past three fights going 2-0-1.

Incredibly, in just a little over 12 months this will be his 8th fight. The past year saw him take on the likes of UFC veteran Andre Winner, fight for Cage Warriors, fight for Irish titles and compete around Europe.

Zielinski is unbeaten in six fights and enjoyed a particularly strong 2014 beating highly rated opponent Niko Puhaka and scoring two first round TKO victories. Overall the Polish fighter is very well-rounded having almost equally won his fights via TKO, submission and decision.

An interesting fact about this fight is that Zielinski fought in the Celtic Gladiator promotion in Ireland in 2011 losing to one of Lobov’s teammates, Brian Moore, by unanimous decision.
