Two of Irish MMA’s best fighters not currently signed to the UFC, Tommy McCafferty (6-0) and Artem Lobov (11-10-1, 1 NC), are set to collide at UXC III on May 2nd in Portglenone, County Antrim.
The undefeated McCafferty will compete for the first time since Cage Warriors granted all their fighters a one-fight-release. ‘The Ghost’ has finished each one of his opponents and despite coming from a striking based background has won half of those fights via submission.
The news of this fight comes just a couple days after Lobov had another opponent pull out of fighting him. The SBG product had been scheduled to fight for a title in Poland this weekend but it was revealed to his coach that the title holder would rather fight someone less risky.
Lobov will come into this fight after having a mixed 2014, he went 2-3-1 overall but is 2-0-1 in his last three fights.
