Former WWE & WCW wrestler Sean O’Haire died on Monday according to reports from various reports and friends of the 43-year-old. No reason for death has been revealed but that he was found in his home in South Carolina.
O’Haire was most notably known for his work in WCW and WWE between the years of 2000 and 2004 where the 6ft 6in monster feuded (storyline) with many wrestling greats including Ron Simmons, Bradshaw, Kevin Nash, Diamond Dallas Page, and Lex Luger, all but to name a few.
After 2004 he moved to New Japan Wrestling and was there until 2006. During that time O’Haire dabbled in kickboxing fights and made his professional MMA debut.
He made one appearance in the famous Japanese promotion Pride where he lost to boxer Eric ‘Butterbean’ Esch by first round TKO. Although he suffered a loss here he is known as one of the more successful pro wrestlers who transitioned into MMA after posting an official record of 4-2 before having his last fight in 2007.
