Former UFC Welterweight Matt Riddle (8-3-0-2 nc) has been offered a WWE try-out in Orlando next month, Wrestling Inc reported today.
Riddle, ring name “Deep Waters” has been training at the Monster Academy since last November and has spent some time on smaller local shows before getting this huge opportunity to make it into the WWE.
Riddle who started in MMA in the UFC was then released from the promotion in 2013, after two of his wins in seven months got overturned due to positive tests for Marijuana. He then signed with Legacy FC and then joined Bellator.
After leaving Bellator he returned in Feb 2014 to fight for Titan FC. But that was the last time we saw him compete in MMA and since, Riddle has focused his whole time on the squared circle.
