Current TNA pro-wrestling champ Bobby Lashley (11-2) has won his Bellator debut defeating John Burns (8-8) via rear-naked choke in the second round of their fight last night. The 38-year-old dominated the fight from start to finish and can now add a win in Bellator to his collection of wins in organisations such as MFC, Titan and Strikeforce.
36-year-old Burns now has a combined record of 0-5 under the Bellator banner so a win here for Lashley, who hasn’t competed in nearly a year, won’t mean too much in the grand scheme of things. Now that he has the win under his belt, Bellator might move him towards the direction of Cheick Kongo or a possible rematch with James Thompson.
