Rosi Sexton (13-3) is such an influential figure in not just UK WMMA but all of UK MMA, so it is rather fitting that she will make up one-half of the first ever European UFC Women’s fight this Saturday in Manchester at Fight Night 30.
Sexton will be fighting in her home town of Manchester for the first time in her career but has a tough task ahead as she takes on Jessica Andrade (9-3), a young and hard-hitting fighter from Brazil.
Both fighters have a stark difference in fighting style, Sexton is a methodical grappler whereas Andrade is a bruising bully-type. With both fighters having lost their debuts respectively it should be interesting to see how much this affects their mind-set and game plan heading into this history making fight.
