KSW 43: Results and Video Highlights

KSW 43 is now in the books and what a thrilling night of fights they delivered. In there usual fashion KSW dialled the production values up to ten as did many of the athletes who took to the cage.

Main Event – New Welterweight Champion
Dricus Du Plessis (12-1) def. Roberto Soldic (13-3) via KO (punches), round 2, 1:36.

Two-weight EFC champ and P4P top South African fighter Dricus Du Plessis scored a KO victory over ‘The RoboCop’ Roberto Soldic to capture the KSW welterweight title. 24-year-old Dricus is now on an eight-fight-win-streak with all coming via stoppage.

Co-Main Event – Middleweight
Damian Janikowski (3-0) def. Yannick Bahati (8-4) via TKO (head kick & punches), round 1, 0:18.

An Olympic medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling, 27-year-old Damian Janikowski switch to MMA in 2017. After two wins in his debut year he has kicked-off 2018 with an incredibly impressive and dominant win over former BAMMA & EFC middleweight champ Yannick Bahati.

Vacant Heavyweight Title
Phil De Fries (15-6) def. Michal Andryszak (20-7) via TKO (ground and pound), round 1, 3:38.

UFC veteran Phil De Fries scored the most impressive win of his career in finishing Michal Andryszak and winning the vacant KSW heavyweight title. Andryszak came in on a six-fight-win-streak, all first round stoppages, but De Fries weathered the storm and stopped the fight midway through the first round.

Featherweight: Salahdine Parnasse (11-0-1) def. Artur Sowinski (18-10) via unanimous decision.

Welterweight: David Zawada (16-3) def. Michal Michalski (6-3) via submission (rear-naked choke), round 3, 0:48.

Lightweight: Norman Parke (24-6-1) def. Lukasz Chlewicki (14-8-1) via unaimous decision.

Bantamweight: Antun Racic (21-8-1) def. Kamil Selwa (10-7) via unanimous decision.

Lightweight: Maciej Kazieczko (4-1) def. Maciej Kalicinski (3-1) via unanimous decision.
