British Lightweight star Jack “The Pilgrim” McGann (10-2 MMA) has announced exclusively to #WHOATV that he has signed a new deal with Russian promotion Fight Nights Global.
McGann debuted for the promotion back in June, picking up a first round win over Abdulla Dadaev on the undercard of Fedor Emelianenko’s return to the cage.
McGann was pencilled in to take on former UFC Featherweight Paul Redmond at #BAMMA26 on 10th September but earlier this evening BAMMA took to social media (see tweet below) to announced that McGann was no longer part of the upcoming Dublin show;

We reached out to Jack who was able to confirm the news that he wasn’t in fact injured but had signed a deal he couldn’t resist with the Russian promotion;
“A lot went on to have me cancel the Redmond fight. I would have been fine on June 4th but when that got cancelled everything got messed up. I got a big opportunity in Russia and took it. Any fighter who would of been a fool to turn it down.”
