Japanese based Brazilian fighter Carlos Toyota (6-6-1) has scalped a biggest name for his fight resumé at ROAD FC 24 in Japan over the weekend as he knocked out the giant 7-foot-2 Hong Man Choi (2-4).
It had been six years since we last seen Choi in action but is still at a relatively young age of 34. In his previous fights Choi had faced the likes of Fedor, Cro Cop, Minowaman and even has a win over baseball legend Jose Conseco.
Toyota has been competing since 2006 in various promotions around Japan. This win over Choi marks his third straight first round KO win.
In the main event UFC veteran Riki Fukuda (23-7) beat Uh Jin Jeon (3-3) via first round TKO. He is now undefeated in five fights since his release in 2013.
Elsewhere on the card Japanese veteran ‘Minowaman’ (60-38-8) beat Dae Sung Kim (2-4) via unanimous decision.
