CAIN VELASQUEZ LANDS ROLE IN NEW VINCE VAUGHN MOVIE

He may be the UFC heavyweight champ but Cain Velasquez could be vying for the title of Box Office champ when he takes on his first movie role opposite Vince Vaughn in a movie titled ‘Term Life’.

Velasquez joins fellow UFC champ Ronda Rousey and recently retired champ GSP as the latest major MMA fighters to crossover to the big screen.

Directed by Peter Billingsley whom worked with Vaughn previously on the comedy movie called ‘Couples Retreat’, which made over $170 million at the worldwide box office.

Naturally Velasquez, who is still on the mend from a shoulder injury, will play a tough guy called ‘Marco’ and is the right hand man to a ruthless Mexican gangster that wants Vince Vaughn’s character dead.

The plot for the movie, according to IMDB, is as follows: “A guy wanted around town by the Mafia and various hit men hopes to stay alive long enough for his life insurance policy to kick in and pay out for his estranged daughter”.

The movie will also star Jonathan Banks from Breaking Bad, Shea Whigham from Boardwalk Empire and, one of my personal favourite actors, Bill Paxton.

The movie is slated for release in mid-2015.
