Top European MMA promotion BAMMA have today announced that they have signed a long-term broadcasting deal with Viacom, on the networks newly launched Spike UK channel.
The deal will see all BAMMA events broadcast live on Spike TV UK and Channel 5 with the promotions 20th anniversary show set to be the first under the new deal.
BAMMA 20 takes place on 25th April live from the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham.
BAMMA CEO David Green who has been influential in bringing the deal to fruition was very pleased not just for the promotion but what he feels the deal will bring to the sport of MMA.

Well this is a huge deal for BAMMA who are embracing their position as one of the leading promotions in Europe. Live MMA in the UK is what we have been after for a long time and although BAMMA have flirted with Channel 5 in the past, this deal seems to be a much more structured approach and will provide certainty for the viewers.
Whilst the underlying deal details have not come to light yet we can be sure to see all BAMMA shows live on Spike UK and Channel 5 which is just fantastic news and will only help to spread the sport throughout the UK. Viacom clearly are not novices at bringing MMA to the masses and so to have that partnership for BAMMA is very impressive.
The deal really pushes BAMMA to the top of the pile in Europe and with their closest rivals Cage Warriors not filling anyone with confidence BAMMA now have the stage to show what they can do. Great news for UKMMA and very excited to see how this plays out for BAMMA.
