So it goes, the proverbial fat lady has sung, bringing to a close the most recent legal woes for Dutch-Moroccan kickboxer, Badr Hari.
On Friday, February 21, 2014 Hari received an 18 month sentence most of which has been suspended due to time served for the reported assault on Koen Everink at the July 2012 Sensation White party at the Amsterdam Arena. In addition to having slightly more than four months remaining to serve, Hari has been ordered to compensate Everink nearly 21,000 euros.
The sentence is considerably less than the four years demanded by the prosecution. It is unknown at this time whether Hari’s attorneys will appeal this decision.
