It’s a move that was made famous by Chinese martial artist Steven Ho in the late 80’s but it seems from the video below that the infamous 540 kick, also known as the tornado kick is still relevant in Taekwondo in 2015.
The most prominent feature of the kick is that the same leg is used for taking off, kicking and landing on and is a hell of a showstopper if timed correctly.
The kick involves a rotation of approximately 540 degrees and as you can see, if used to perfection can finish a fight in a second.
