One of the highest anticipated UFC bouts of all time is in serious jeopardy following reports that Jose Aldo has sustained a rib injury.
Jose Aldo was due to take on Conor McGregor on July 11th for the UFC Featherweight Title, however, Combate have confirmed the injury and reported that Aldo suffered a fractured rib today during a training session. The UFC as of now have not made a formal announcement.
Early today Englishmen John Hathaway was confirmed as being removed from the card following an injury he has sustained which has left McGregor’s SBG teammate Gunnar Nelson without an opponent also.
The UFC have invested heavily into this fight with a media world tour and many promotional videos to build interest for the Title fight. Just last week UFC President Dana White was confident that the PPV buy rate was tracking at over a million which would make the show one of the biggest in the promotions history.
