The above is UFC President Dana White’s thoughts on the Thiago Silva situation. If you do not know, back in February there was an alleged incident involving Silva, his estranged wife and her boyfriend Pablo Popovitch that resulted in Silva having a stand-off with SWAT at his home and being tasered and arrested.
Last week the charges were dropped after Silva’s wife became uncooperative in the case and apparently, has since, left the country.
Silva (16-3, 2 NC) is said to be targeting a January return to the cage. The 31-year-olds last fight was in October of last year in a unanimous decision win over Matt Hamill and before that he won ‘Fight of the Night’ and ‘KO of the Night’ honours in a win against Rafael Cavalcante.
