Former UFC and PRIDE star Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva has announced that he has signed a new deal with Bellator today.
He was released from his UFC contract in January 2016 and has been a free agent since and with his lifetime ban overturned in May 2015 has now made his intentions to return to action.
The news was announced via Brett Okamoto at ESPN today.
Silva had previously announced his retirement from the sport after receiving his lifetime ban which has since been overturned.
Its uncertain at present when he will make his promotional debut given that Silva will have to wait until May 2017 before he can reapply for his license to fight in Nevada.
