2014’s original controversial MMA case recently came to an end. Former UFC title challenger Thiago Silva was tasered and arrested by SWAT after a standoff at his home in Florida. This stemmed from an alleged incident that involved his estranged wife and her partner in which Silva supposedly confronted them with a gun at a gym. As a direct result, Silva was then released by the UFC.
Last week though the charges on Silva were dropped after his was became “uncooperative” in the case and apparently had left the country. Silva was then reinstated back on the UFC roster and is planning to return to the Octagon in January.
