Bellator 121 took place last Friday night. It featured a heavyweight clash between two behemoth men in former Pride fighter James Thompson and Eric Prindle (who actually had to cut 20lbs to make the 265lbs limit).
To mark this fight the marketing department in Bellator devised the perfect video promo to honour this event and match-up. I could try and explain it but my words would not do it justice so I decided to embed it below:
This promo was borderline terrible but its obvious self-awareness made it absolutely amazing! So this got me thinking…what was the worst MMA video promo? And then it hit me, there was a promo done under for a fight between Jeff Monson and Mark Kerr aired on Don King TV.
“You like watching people get fucked for free?” – says it all really.
And if you were wondering Jeff Monson beat Mark Kerr via rear-naked choke in the first round.
