UFC Fight Night Belfast showcased not one but two Welshmen as those watching both cage side and at home witnessed Jack Marshman and Brett Johns make huge statements as they secured dominant wins before a packed crowd.
Another Welshman, middleweight John ‘The White Mike Tyson’ Phillips with 22 finishes and 22 KO’s watching from afar may justifiably be asking himself what he has to achieve before he can claim his shot in the Octagon. A feared striker with an equally impressive ground game Phillips is one of the UK’s most lethal mixed martial artists yet to receive the call up to the UFC. Up until now he has been relatively quiet about his aspirations…up until now.
