BAMMA have further enhanced their Featherweight division with Allstars 145lbers Niklas Backstrom being their latest addition.
Backstrom joins the promotion off the back of a three fight stint with the UFC, going 1-2 with the promotion. He has since featured on a local Swedish show in which he scored a submission win over Georgi Stoyanov.
Niklas shot to fame on the local European scene starting with Superior Challenge and Cage Warriors amassing a record of 6-0 before getting the call to join the UFC.
It was at the UFC that he suffered defeat for the firs time in his career against Mike Wilkinson (TKO) and Noad Lahat (majority decision) and he will be looking to get back to winning ways with his latest employee, BAMMA.
There are a number of huge fights available to him at 145lbs in BAMMA in arguably one of their strongest divisions which they have bolstered in recent months with the likes of Ronnie Mann & Graham Turner.
No details have yet been released on when we can expect to see Backstrom debut for the promotion but with #BAMMA26 recently announced for June 4th there is a possibility that we will see him on that show.
