The main event of the UFC’s return to Dublin later this year has now been confirmed.
Ireland’s Joseph Duffy will take on Dustin Poirier in a lightweight main event on 24th October at the 3Arena.
Duffy confirmed the news during an appearance on Ireland AM on TV3 earlier today.
Duffy (14-1 MMA 2-0 UFC) has been training out of the world famous Tristar Gym in Montreal and made a hugely impressive UFC debut stopping Jake Lindsey and Ivan Jorge.
Poirier who lost to Conor McGregor last September has moved to Lightweight and picked up two wins on the bounce against Yancy Medeiros and Carlos Diego Ferreira.
