Jose Aldo receives second surprise USADA test

On December 12th UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and UFC interim champ Conor McGregor will finally meet after their original fight at UFC 189 this past July was scraped due to an injury sustained by Aldo.

This injury lead to a lot of criticism of Aldo and speculation after many noticed trends in the Brazilian’s career in regards to injuries related to his fights in America. This resulted in the theory that he could be using PED’s so a lot of focus has been on the 29-year-old for this camp.

The Brazilian revealed that he had his second surprise doping test in Brazil yesterday (title image via Combate.com). With his confidence in passing it seems this is an effort to silence any critics or doubters he may have.

According to Brazilian outlet sportv.globo.com this was he second test conducted by USADA in a matter of months and consisted of blood and urine sample.

“This is already the second surprise doping test conducted by USADA (US Anti-Doping Agency) in Aldo in Brazil. In the first, on 16 September, were also collected samples of blood and urine.”
