Recently crowned UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic has been given his first championship assignment, which comes in the form of Alistair Overeeem.
Miocic and Overeem will headline #UFC203 which will take place on 10th September at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio which is the home of the Heavyweight Champion.
Stipe became the Heavyweight Champion of the World stopping Fabricio Werdum in Brazil in the main event of #UFC198 which took place in Curibita, Brazil earlier this month.
His next opponent, Overeem, is coming off the back of a stoppage win of his own which took place in Rotterdam against his former training partner Andrei Arlovski.
Going into this fight Miocic is riding a three fight win streak with wins over Werdum, Andrei Arlovski and Mark Hunt. Overeem has racked up four wins on the bounce against Stefan Struve, Roy Nelson, Junior dos Santos and Andrei Arlovski.
