Another of KSW’s marquee names has been added to KSW 39. Lightweight champion Mateusz ‘Gamer’ Gamrot (12-0) will defend his title at the monumental stadium show, aptly named KSW: Colosseum, on May 27th.
The 26-year-old won the vacant title at KSW 35 when he beat top French prospect Mansour Barnaoui via unanimous decision and has truly been reigning supreme in the promotion’s lightweight division wracking up 8 wins in total. During this run he has defeated the likes of UFC vet Andre Winner (21-11-2), Lukasz Chlewicki (14-5-1), and is the first and only person to beat top Russian fighter Marif Piraev (13-1-1).
There are now a total of five titles on the line at the PGE Stadium in Warsaw. Mamed Khalidov will defend his title against a yet-to-be-named opponent, Rodrigues Jr. will defend his recently obtained heavyweight crown against Polish fan favorite Marcin Rozalski, Kleber Koike Erbst will challenge ‘The Polish Zombie’ Marcin Wrzosek for the featherweight title and Tomasz Narkun has a tough test against Marcin Wojcik for his third light heavyweight title defense.
Also on the card is megastar Mariusz Pudzianowski and Olympic bronze medalist Damian Janikowski, both to matched, and two further fights to be added to the card.
KSW 39 will be available to watch around the world on KSWTV.com and tickets are currently on sale from Ebilet.pl.
