Former Champ Artur Sowinski Faces Salahdine Parnasse at KSW 43

It is a battle between experience and youth as former featherweight champ Artur Sowinski (18-9, 2 NC) faces the young and undefeated French sensation Salahdine Parnasse (10-0-1) at KSW 43 in Wroclaw, Poland on April 14.

Sowinski has been a staple of KSW since making his promotional debut at KSW 14 in 2010. Since then he has appeared fourteen times in the KSW arena fighting for the lightweight title and lifting the featherweight title during that time. He holds career wins over Maciej Jewtuszko, Fabiano Silva, Anzor Azhiev, and his is the only person since 2009 to beat Kleber Koike Erbst. The 30-year-old is fan favourite in Poland due to his fighting style and attitude outside the cage and is also a former opponent of Conor McGregor.

Making his KSW debut just weeks after his 20th birthday this past December, Salahdine Parnasse introduced himself in a very impressive fashion beating tough Polish fighter Lukasz Rajewski via decision at KSW 41. The French sensation made his professional debut in 2015 and has registered wins in France, Belgium and China, wracking up wins via submission, KO and decision proving his all-round ability.

With his performance at KSW 41, Fighters Only magazine featured him as one of the young fighters to watch in 2018. If he can register a win against someone like Sowinski then we will certainly know Salahdine Parnasse is the real deal and a possible title challenger in the near future.

KSW 43 takes place April 14 from the breathtaking and historic Hala Stulecia venue, built over 100 years ago. Olympic medalist Damian Janikowski (2-0) will main event his first KSW and in his hometown against former BAMMA & EFC middleweight champ Yannick Bahati (8-3). Two of the top prospects in MMA today will meet in the co-main event as Roberto Soldic (13-2) defends his recently acquired welterweight title against two-weight EFC champion Dricus Du Plessis (11-1) and Michal Andryszak (20-6) will battle Phil De Fries (14-6) for the vacant KSW heavyweight title.
