BAMMA have today announced a Welterweight clash for #BAMMA25, set to take place on 14th May as Colin ‘Freakshow’ Fletcher takes on Walter ‘The Sniper’ Gahadza.
The bout marks Fletcher’s return to BAMMA following his last outing which ended in a split decision loss to Andre Winner. Fletcher since went on to win the Made 4 The Cage Welterweight Title and goes into #BAMMA25 with a record of 12-5.
Gahadza is unbeaten in 14 fights and will make his long awaited debut which was due to come at #BAMMA17, but was halted due to injuries.
Gahadza will be a real challenge to Fletcher and the winner of this one will certainly have their eyes on the Welterweight Title!
Tonys Thoughts:
This is a great test for both men and its great to see Fletcher reinvigorated and back to challenge himself.
Gahadza has been out of action since April 2014 so likewise its going to be interesting to see how he deals with that. And lets remember he isnt just getting in there with anyone.
The fight has a real potential to be a stand up war but both of these men are well versed on the ground should it hit the mat.
For me it seems like it has the potential to be a real passing of the guard kinda fight with the young Gahadza looking to take over from Fletcher, but we all know that wont happen without a fight!
