Dandois vs Hughes at Cage Warriors 89, Antwerp

Belgium’s Cindy Dandois returns home to make her MMA return at Cage Warriors 89 in Antwerp on November 25.

Black belt judoka Dandois will take on England’s Kerry Hughes in a 140lb catchweight contest at the Lotto Arena on November 25 as part of Cage Warriors inaugural show on Belgian soil.

The ‘Battlecat’ is a friend and training partner of former UFC and Strikeforce bantamweight champion Miesha Tate and holds notable victories over former Invicta FC champion Megan Anderson and former Strikeforce champion Marlos Coenen. Her overall MMA record reads eight wins, three losses.

She’ll take on ‘Rocksteady’ Hughes (3-2), who will make her third appearance under the Cage Warriors banner as she competes in her sixth professional bout.

Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan said: “As soon as we knew Cindy was available it was a no-brainer to get her onto our fight card for Antwerp.

“She’s been a pioneer for the sport in Belgium and her return home will be a special occasion for her and her fans.

“Kerry comes from a great team at Jack Mason’s BKK Fighters and I’m expecting her to rise to the occasion and produce a great fight with Cindy. This is definitely one to keep a close eye on.”

In addition, Dandois’ brother, middleweight Ben Dandois, will feature on the November 25 fight card, along with another Belgian favourite, welterweight Tommy Depret.
