Daley: ‘I feel like he’s walking in my footsteps’

Fresh of his travels, which took him to Phuket Top Team, an energised Paul ‘Semtex’ Daley has released a snippet of the training he undertook whilst he was out in Thailand. The British KO specialist was also keen to assert his feelings to camera on the forthcoming clash scheduled with Michael ‘Venom’ Page.

“He’s gonna get knocked out and he’s gonna have to go home and ask himself if he wants to do this,” Daley said, continuing he offers, “I feel like he’s walking in my footsteps.” A clear calculated shot at Page who from reports is also confident in his team and his own ability to ensure he brings home a victory.

The clash between the two looks set to go down early in the new year, possibly February. Although it’s still unclear if it will be part of the European slate of cards Scott Coker has alluded to or if it will take place overseas. Based on DAZN’s need for big ticket clashes to feed their newly established viewing platform all indications are, as it is part of the Welterweight Grand Prix, the clash will take place before a live US audience. If true, this is based on business logic, I might add, not specific inside intel, it will be a disappointment to UK fans who were hoping to soak in the event live on UK shores.

If it serves as any consolation, with the amount of UK and European talent currently signed, I’ve a feeling we won’t have to wait too long before Bellator pitches up it’s tent in the UK.
