Our friends Down Under at Submission Radio had ‘The Bad Guy’ himself Chael Sonnen on their podcast recent to talk about a number of topics from Fedor to Holly Holm.
While he was talking about returning fighters he was asked whether he will return to MMA or not and he said that his time competing in MMA is up but he will still compete in grappling tournaments.
And then he dropped a bombshell revalation that he will be fighting Josh Barnett at an upcoming Metamoris event towards the end of October/start of November and he even went as far as giving a prediction.
“Sonnen wins,” he said. “I am gonna take his fat ass down and he will never get up.”
Both Sonnen and Barnett have competed on the same Metamoris card twice in the past. M4 just over a year ago saw Sonnen lose to Galvao while Barnett shocked the world and actually submitted Dean Lister. Then at M6 Sonnen and Renato Sobral fought to a draw and Barnett defeated Ryron Gracia via toe hold.
