Cage Warriors continue to stack their roster with the most elite contenders on the continent, entering the second half of 2018 with the announcement of 4 new multi-fight deals.
As if the Cage Warriors bantamweight division wasn’t interesting enough with the recent announcement of Jack Shore’s CW97 title fight in Cardiff, a number of newly announced contenders are lining up to stake their claim as the best in Europe. Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan recently confirmed that teammates Chris Miah and Mike Ekundayo, both training partners of former CW bantamweight champion and now UFC prospect Nathaniel Wood, have signed multi-fight deals.
7 of Chris Miah’s 8 wins have come within the distance, including a first round knockout over Jack Owen. Coached by two big UFC names in Brad Pickett and Tom Breese, Miah is a definite one to watch this year.
“This is potentially the most exciting the Cage Warriors bantamweight division has ever been,” says Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan. “Whoever wins the title fight on September 29th is going to have a long line of seriously dangerous contenders waiting for that shot.”
Mike Ekundayo will face Ed ‘King’ Arthur at CW95 on July 21st in a hugely anticipated fight for the European bantamweight scene. After beating Nathaniel Wood earlier in their careers, Arthur is looking to forge a pathway to becoming London’s next champion with a win in his Cage Warriors debut. The still undefeated Ekundayo is fresh off a win against Tom Means in May, and hopes to avenge Wood’s loss and bring home another win for Pickett’s Team Titan.
Also recently signed to multi fight deals are Jai Herbert, who recently impressed with a debut win at CW94, British Welterweight Adam Proctor and Norwegian Lightweight Alexander Jacobsen
