Bellator 147 Results

Bellator 147 took place last night at the San Jose University in San Jose and featured former UFC and Strikeforce star Josh Thomson in the main event.

Bellator had stacked the card with some more of its household names including Daniel Weichel, Patrick Friere and
Brian Rogers and the card didn’t fail to deliver.

Thomson was competing for the second time under the Bellator banner since leaving the UFC in July and was able to pick up another stoppage win to boost his Bellator stats to 2-0 and put him in a great place in the Lightweight division.

Thomson was the Strikeforce Lightweight Champion and will be looking to put together a few more wins to get him in line for a shot at the Bellator strap, and with finishes like you can see below I don’t suspect it will be long before Scott Coker puts him in Title contention.

Bellator 147 main card results;

Josh Thomson def. Pablo Villaseca via TKO (3:59, Round 2)
Daniel Weichel def. Georgi Karakhanyan via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Derek Anderson def. Patrick Friere via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
Adam Piccolotti def. Mario Soto via submission (rear-naked choke) (3:25, Round 2)
