#BAMMA25 gets three more bouts

#BAMMA25 has received a few more bouts to its already stacked line up today which include bouts in the Light Heavyweight, Featherweight and Lightweight division.

Brett “The Spartan” McDermott will take on Jamie Sloane in a 205lbs bout which will mark the BAMMA debut for Jamie Sloane. Sloane has spent his career at Phoenix Fight Nights amassing a record of 5-1 and has never been outside of the second round in any of his fights. Former BAMMA Light Heavyweight Champion McDermott will be looking to return to winning ways following his loss to Muhammed Lawal at the inaugural Rizin FF show on 29th December.

In the Featherweight division Regis Sugden makes his 145lbs debut against Huseyin Garabet who himself is making his BAMMA debut on the show. Both of these guys are renowned for their strike up skills and both will be looking to make an impact on a division which is likely to be looking for a new Champion following current Champion Tom DuQuesnoy’s decision to make the move down to Bantamweight.

Scotland’s Chris Bungard will also be making his debut for BAMMA and will be fighting fellow Lightweight Xavier Sedras, also making his debut on the show. Bungard has finished all five of his opponents and will be looking to follow suit from training partner and BAMMA Light Heavyweight Champion Paul Craig as he bursts onto the European scene.

Tony’s Thoughts;

Some great additions to an already exciting card! For me I am really looking forward to seeing Bungard debut on the big scene and Sedras will be a real tough test for him. Sedras has been competing with some solid UK talent since he started fighting in 2013 and is arguably the toughest test of Bungard’s career so far.

I am always intrigued by how fighters deal with moving up a weight class and so this is a big test for Regis Sugden who narrowly lost out to Alan Philpott in his last bout. I don’t know why Sudgen is choosing to move up after just one loss at Bantamweight and he definitely shouldn’t take Garabet lightly.
