Ashley Reece signs for Bellator

UK welterweight stand out  Ashley ‘The Beast’ Reece (6-1-0) is the latest Brit to sign with Bellator. In a multi fight agreement, Reece is set to compete for the promotion after finding himself on the wrong end of a decision loss when he last fought in May of this year.

‘The Beast’, a mainstay of ACB before their UK shows hit the buffers, will be keen to get back to winning ways. With an unbeaten amateur record Reece turned pro in 2015 racking up wins against notable opponents like Martin Hudson and Sam Boult.

The Stoke-on-Trent man joins a line of new signings which Bellator have been stacking up over the past few months. The new European names now exceed the 40 mark and with news of more talent being acquired this will undoubtedly fuel speculation that the promotion is poised to release a bit more detail about how fighters will be kept busy in the coming months.

Many of the new signings have already been matched on stateside and European shows. A cursory glance across Facebook have revealed many of the new signings, who do not have visa issues, are either in camp or have alluded to being matched for a card taking place in early 2019.

We will, of course, bring you news of Ashley Reece’s opponent when he is matched and confirmation of forthcoming cards that feature newly acquired European talent when they are officially announced.
