With just over a month away from #Bellator158, Atak Promotions have finally confirmed an opponent for Alex Reid who will be making his return to the cage after over a three year hiatus.
Reid will be taking on Spain’s Manuel Garcia (27-19-0) on the main card of the show.
Garcia is coming off of the back of three losses all of which have come by stoppage, but the Spanish native has been in the cage with some of the best in Europe (Norman Paraisy, Simeon Thoresen, Che Mills, Dan Hardy) throughout his career.
Reid himself is riding a two fight win streak and will have lots of eyes on him to see how he can perform after such a long time out of the cage. There were many names rumoured as his opponent but as confirmed by Paul Hennessy from Atak Promotions on friday in an exclusive interview with #WHOATV, the opponent was a European fighter who had fought in December. They have now announced the fight and are still actively seeking a replacement for the late Kimbo Slice for the main event of the show.
