It’s fight week for arguably the strongest UK card that ACB have put on to date. As UKMMA fight cards go we often hear the word stacked bandied about. This year, thus far, we’ve seen UKMMA promotions attempt to attach the adjective to their shows thus, in my mind, devaluing the term. ACB have renewed credibility in the premise as ACB 87 is truly a line up to behold.
We’ve taken a look at the main event as we take a cursory glance at those competing on the card that will make you exclaim WHOA. No let’s look at a pretty incredible match up as Dominique Wooding will face Dean Garnett. Wooding is on a meteoric rise and shows no signs of slowing down. Having established himself on other promotions Wooding has called for the big fights from the start of his career, they get no bigger than the highly ranked Garnett.

Dean Garnett, since joining ACB, has had an impressive start with his stunning KO of Michael Tobin. Since that incredible display Garnett has succumbed twice to two submission losses and will no doubt be looking to make an example of Wooding here in what will mostly be a stand up war.
It’s a formidable matchup which is incredibly difficult to call. Gun to head I’m leaning to a Wooding victory purely based on his movement, striking ability, incredible tools in his amoury and it’s undeniable that Garnett will not have faced anyone like Wooding who will be applying pressure from the opening stanza that will make for an uncomfortable night.
