Kane Mousah was clearly fired up when among a slew of fighters who had recently called him out to fight he was offered the opportunity to meet Alex Enlund. Mousah has made no secret of the fact that we wants to test himself by clashing those more highly ranked in his weight class. His wish has manifested itself in a very exciting matchup courtesy of his second outing at ACB where he will look to put on a performance to match the anticipated heat Enlund will bring to the table.
Enlund brings a wealth of experience to the table garnered over a sixteen fight career in which he racked up fouteen wins and just two losses. He’s on a seven fight win streak a feat which saw him temporarily enlisted into the UFC. A shortlived experience following a suspected brain lesion. He has since been cleared to fight and will be keen to pick up where he left off with yet another win this coming Saturday.
Mousah, who is known for his striking, will be mindful of Enlund’s submission game and his wins over Nad Narimani and Artem Lobov. He will look to impose his relentless pace to secure a win via KO / TKO but from recent interviews Mousah has been keen to show he also has a wrestling pedigree to be respected so don’t be surprised if this hits the ground earlier than you might think.
What’s intriguing about this fight are the variables can Enlund impose his game after being out of the cage for so long having not been active since he last fought in June of 2016. Other unanswered questions for this match up also include whether Mousah’s wrestling is indeed a match for the seemingly superior and tested ground game of Enlund. This, like many on ACB 70, has the very real prospect of picking up one of the many bonuses on offer on the night. One thing is for certain we are in for some edge of your seat back and forth action set to a thrilling pace.
