Aaron Chalmers: ‘If Griffiths does what he says he does I will double his fee’

Fighting out of Newcastle, England, Aaron ‘The Joker’ Chalmers steps inside the Bellator cage at Bellator 200 following three first-round stoppage victories. Chalmers is a well-known cast member of MTV’s British reality television series “Geordie Shore,” having appeared for 10 seasons beginning in 2014, as well as MTV’s “Ex on the Beach” will face Ash Griffiths when the promotion hits London on May 25.

Earlier today I spoke with Griffiths who was none too pleased at the scorn and harsh words leveled at him by ‘The Joker’ when he spoke with WHOA TV in March. He had a few harsh words of his own in retaliation. I reached out to ‘The Joker’ who was keen to clear up and respond to two significant points raised. In response to comments around his fans Chalmers said, “Despite what Ash has commented regarding the sexual persuasion of those who will be coming to see me. Let me make it clear I welcome all audiences, Gay, Straight, Bi regardless of people’s preferences I hold no phobias or bias.”

Chalmers then up the ante by issuing an intriguing challenge to Griffiths offering to double Griffiths winnings if he is able to defeat Chalmers as he told me, “If Ash is happy to bet his life savings on him winning, then let’s do this. If he is so confident let’s put his fee on the line. I will get a contract sent over today for his fee. If Griffiths does what he says he does I will double his fee. But when I win I will take his fee. He walks away with nothing. Let’s see if he has the balls to back up what he is saying”

With the gauntlet laid firmly down it’s over to Ash Griffiths to accept or turn down. Keep an eye on their respective Twitter accounts, it might just get a little heated in the coming days and weeks as we head towards fight night.
