A betting guide to UFC Dublin

#UFCDublin is one of the most anticipated European fight cards of the year and sees the promotion return to Dublin, Ireland for the first time since Conor McGregor tore the roof off in July 2014.

We are now in full fight week swing and with the card only a few days away #WHOATV have broken down the betting odds (provided by PaddyPower.com) to give you some help on who to back this weekend.

The main card

Lightweight’s Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier headline the card and both are on two fight win streaks in the UFC which all came within the distance. Irishman Duffy is the favorite going into this one with odds of 2/5 to win against 15/8 for the American Poirier.

Patrick Holohan and Louis Smolka are even at the bookies at 9/10 each ahead of their Flyweight clash. In a clash which has some strong heat behind it, Northern Ireland’s Norman Parke goes in as 4/11 favorite over Reza Madadi and former Cage Warriors Welterweight Champion Nicolas Dalby takes the slight edge against Darren Till in the bookmakers eyes.

Few others to consider

Scotland’s Stevie Ray has made a huge impact in his short career in the UFC to date and its perhaps unsurprising that he is the bookies favorite in his clash with Frenchman Michael Lebout. Ray has two stoppage wins and with the odds of 7/4 for the fight to end within the distance that may not be a bad punt.

Cathal Pendred is the underdog going into his Welterweight clash with England’s Tom Breese but you can definitely expect Pendred to put everything into this performance in front of his home fans. PaddyPower are offering 15/8 on Pendred at the moment and its definitely not a bad bet.

Backing the Irish

The July 2014 card in Dublin saw an Irish clean sweep and if you are feeling the same about this card a £10 accumulator on the Irish contingent of the card (Pendred, Daly, Seery, Parke, Holohan & Duffy) returns a nice £290.97.
