Tom Breese added to UFC London

UFC London tickets went on sale today and another big British name was added to the card also.

Undefeated British Welterweight Tom Breese is set to make his third UFC appearance against Japanese fighter Keita Nakamura.

Breese has scored two stoppage wins in his UFC tenor to date and will return to home soil for the first time since Cage Warriors 74 in November 2014.

Nakamura is back in the UFC for his second stint in the promotion after a brief period with the promotion from 2006 to early 2008, during which he went 0-3. Since leaving the UFC he went on to win SRC and Deep Welterweight Titles and made his return to the UFC in Japan in September, picking up a win over Li Jingliang.

Tony’s Thoughts;

Great to see Breese back in action so quickly after UFC Dublin and it will be great for him fighting in front of his home crowd. Nakamura is a gritty veteran and is a very credible opponent for Breese.

Its good to see that the UFC are not pushing him too quickly and are taking their time to ensure he builds a name behind himself in the promotion before eventually getting the push which we are all expecting to see.

Nakamura has only won one fight away from Japanese soil so it will be interesting to see how he deals with the travel and acclimatising to the British time zones, something which Breese will not have an issue with.
