Reginaldo Vieira steps in for KSW 73 Co-Main Event

TUF Brazil winner & UFC veteran Reginaldo Vieira (15-6) was today confirmed to be stepping-in to face former KSW title challenger Daniel Rutkowski (13-3) in the co-main event of KSW 73 this Saturday, August 20, in Warsaw, Poland.

Vieira comes into KSW off recent back-to-back submission wins following his three-year break from the sport. The 39-year-old won ‘The Ultimate Fighter Brazil’ season four with a win over Diego Lopes in the finale at UFC 190. He replaces Germany’s Lom-Ali Eskijew, who withdrew from the card through illness, and is looking to make the most of this opportunity this weekend and make an immediate impact in the KSW featherweight division.

A motivated Daniel Rutkowski immediately accepted the replacement and is eager to get back to winning ways following his title fight disappointment at KSW 68 this past March. The heavy hitter suffered his first defeat since 2015 losing to Salahdine Parnasse and, in the process, snapping his thirteen-fight win-streak. Now he has a chance to get back into the win column and score a big win over a tough veteran.

The KSW 73 main event will see former Glory kickboxing heavyweight star Arkadiusz Wrzosek (0-0) will make his MMA debut against fellow kickboxing veteran Tomasz Sarara (1-0) in a huge all-Polish clash.

The event will be available to watch live worldwide on www.KSWTV.com and the KSW App and exclusively on Viaplay in Poland, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, and the Baltics.
