As announced by the UFC, top UK Lightweight Marc Diakiese (9-0 MMA) will make his UFC Octagon debut at UFC Manchester against Reza Madadi (14-1 MMA).
Diakiese joins the UFC off the back of two huge stoppage wins over Rick Selvarajah (24 seconds) and Kane Mousah (36 seconds) under the European promotion BAMMA of which he held the BAMMA Lonsdale Lightweight Title.
Medadi has been with the UFC since April 2012 and has a record of 3-2, with all his wins coming inside the distance. He goes into this Lightweight contest off the back of a win over Yan Cabral in May.
What is interesting is that the pair of 155lbers used to train together under the Allstars Training Center in Sweden, although since then Diakiese has switched full time to train at ASW (Atherton Submission Wrestling) in Manchester.
