Former UFC champ BJ Penn might have retired from fighting inside the Octagon but that doesn’t mean he has totally given up scrapping. It has been reported that the 36-year-old got arrested on Saturday night in his hotel room in the Four Seasons in Maui, an Hawaiian island.
According to MauiWatch.com BJ Penn assaulted an individual while intoxicated before heading back up to his room.
“Sources say he was staying at the Four Seasons Maui when police responded and encountered an inebriated Penn. According to the anonymous source, Penn severely assaulted the individual and left him fleeing back to the hotel room where the arrest was later made.”
It is then said that he has already been released from custody.
“Maui County Police Department officials Monday stated that Penn was arrested and has already been released from custody.”
There was no mention of how severely the person got injured or whether further action will be taken against The Prodigy.
