Bellator London shuffles the deck

Bellator today announced that SBG Ireland’s Charlie Ward (6-3) will follow up on his highlight-reel performance in February with a middleweight main card showdown against Justin Moore (7-3) at Bellator London: Mousasi vs. Lovato Jr., which takes place at The SSE Arena, Wembley on Saturday, June 22.

Having disposed of Jamie Stephenson efficiently in Dublin last time out, Ward will be keen to deliver a repeat performance in the English capital and extend his unbeaten run to four fights. Ward goes up against England’s Justin Moore, who makes his Bellator debut on the June 24 card. The 34-year-old Dorset native returns to the cage for the first time since October of last year and will certainly be looking to entertain in front of a home crowd.

As well as the addition of Ward vs. Moore to the main card, two preliminary bouts have also been added to the event. Current Bellator Kickboxing flyweight champion and Holland’s own Denise Kielholtz (2-2) will go up against Bryony Tyrell (4-3-1) in a 125-pound bout. Also added to the preliminaries is England’s Alfie Davis (11-3), who is back in the cage after his unanimous decision win over Daniele Scatizzi at Bellator 217. The 27-year-old squares up to Brazil’sJorge Kanella (8-7, 1 NC) in a featherweight showdown.

Additionally, Bellator announce two changes to the event line-up, as Peter Queally and Carl Booth have both had to withdraw from their respective bouts. Now, lightweight Terry Brazier (10-2) moves on from Queally and will instead take on Cannock’s Tim Wilde (12-4), as he returns to the cage following his headlining bout at Bellator Birmingham. Meanwhile, Oliver Enkamp (7-2) makes his Bellator debut and replaces Booth against Walter Gahadza (18-3) in a welterweight matchup.
