Askham defends title this Saturday at KSW 55

This Saturday, October 10th at KSW 55 live on www.KSWTV.com the UK’s Scott Askham (19-4) will defend his KSW middleweight title against the legendary Mamed Khalidov (34-7-2) in a rematch of their battle from KSW 52 last December.

In their first fight Askham shut out Khalidov and won on the judges scorecards. The loss was Khalidov’s first at middleweight in over a decade, a run which saw him capture wins over a whole list of notable MMA veterans like Kendall Grove, James Irvin, Michal Materla, Matt Lindland, Melvin Manhoef, Borys Mankowski, and more.

Now the former champ is looking to get back to his former self. However, standing in his way is the in-form champ Scott Askham. The Englishman is looking the best he ever has in his career and is on a five-fight win-streak which includes a pair of wins over Michal Materla and a one-sided win over Luke Barnatt as well as win over Khalidov in his last fight. Prior to joining KSW, Askham was a BAMMA champion and also competed in the UFC.

The 32-year-old Leeds native will now look to solidify himself as the best middleweight in KSW and in Europe with another win over Mamed Khaliodv this Saturday.
