It’s been a while since we last saw Winner in action but it would always be inevitable that we would see Nottingham’s own Winner on the bill for this stacked night of fights. Aliev, on a six fight winning streak causes all kind of problems for Winner. As is customary for Russian fighters their modest records seem to mask the fact that most are genuine threats, straight up killers, and should not be taken lightly. This has all the makings of yet another fight of the night and a difficult opponent for Winner’s return to the cage after almost two years away from the sport.
Tim Wilde vs. Alibek Achazaev
Another fight of the night contender candidate on a card seeming packed with many who’ll be seeking ACB’s bonuses which are a sight to behold and definitely the right incentive for Wilde who would ordinarily put on an astonishing display of relentless strikes from all angles. Ths is an opponent that Wilde will shine against look for an early finish as Wilde will undoubtedly put on a one sided display of dominance here.
Pietro Menga vs. Takeya Mizugaki
Menga has had a run of bad luck of late after being signed by the UFC only to have his opportunity taken away in a well publicised failure to make weight Menga then found himself at the losing end of a decision to Raymison Bruno. Well if taking an easy set of fights is what you’d expect from Menga in a bid to rack up wins, you’d be sadly mistaken, Mizugaki is a dangerous UFC vet. Don’t let the four consecutive losses fool you Mizugaki is no walk in the park. This fight will, however, gift Menga a high level scalp that will inch him back under the radar of the UFC.
