One of the most talented and equally entertaining (both in and outside the cage) fighters in Irish MMA, Tommy Quinn (6-1), returns to action this May.
Quinn will fight fellow standout fighter Lew Long (9-3) for the vacant European Welterweight title in the Made 4 The Cage promotion in the UK on May 23rd.
It has been just over a year since we last saw the Newcastle-based fighter compete. That was a TKO win over Dan Hope at Cage Warriors 62 and nearly a year-to-the-day before that Quinn defeated the highly touted Philip Mulpeter.
Recent problems within the Cage Warriors promotion have meant that all fighters were given a one-fight release and M4TC have worked quick to pair two of CW’s top welterweights in a mouth-watering affair.
Welsh fighter Lew Long enjoyed a great 2014 winning both of his fights earning stoppages in both fights. He has faced Irish competition once before, losing to current UFC fighter Paul Redmond in 2012.
