Put two high class strikers in a cage together and one thing that will spring to the expectation of everyone watching is the hope of a good knockout. Well we got one when Joe Schilling and Melvin Manhoef met this past weekend at Bellator 131 but it did not go the way we expected.
Joe Schilling entered the bout with an unimpressive 1-3 record in MMA but had an extensive striking background. The fight was seen by many as a tune-up fight for the much more experienced Melvin Manhoef (29-12-1-1). The clash resulted in a perfectly timed and weighted one-punch KO that should be seen in highlight reels for years to come.
