Chadwick vs Billstein for the Middleweight crown on February 24th

Last time Liverpool’s Lee Chadwick stepped into the octagon at CW88, fans were treated to a back-and-forth Middleweight war which saw him defeat Victor Cheng to become champion in his home city. This time around, Chadwick will come up against Jonas Billstein, who at just 26 years of age has picked up 10 knockout wins and has fought across many of the biggest promotions on the planet. Billstein, who travels from Germany in search of the away victory, will look to pry the belt away from Liverpool and establish himself as Europe’s Middleweight King. Chadwick, a 37-fight veteran of the sport, is no stranger to derailing younger challengers and seeks to cut Billstein’s rising status short in order to keep the belt.

On paper, this fight looks to be one of the most entertaining bouts on an already stacked card. It’s a classic high-stakes match up between an established champion who’s willing to leave everything in the octagon in order to stay at the top, and a young, powerful up-and-comer with a string of first round finishes. Both men have the tools to end this one at any minute, and February 24th is the night they’ll put their game plans to the test. Only one man can leave the Echo Arena as champion.

“If one of these guys lands, it’s all over,” says Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan. “These are two of the most powerful guys on the roster, and have both taken out some of the toughest opposition in Europe over the last few years. We can’t wait to see how this one plays out.”

Another fight newly added to the CW90 card is a clash between Elliott Jenkins, a Liverpool fan favourite and Next Generation teammate of Paddy Pimblett, and Sunderland’s Josh Abraham, a dangerous featherweight prospect riding a five-fight win streak.

Joining Chadwick and Jenkins on the card are Molly McCann, who will fight for the first ever Cage Warriors Women’s Flyweight Title, and Paddy Pimblett, who returns to the octagon looking to make a statement and begin his climb back up to title contention. A host of other Liverpool fighters fill the card, including Lawrence Fitzpatrick, Shawn Kenny and Adam Ventre, all stepping up on February 24th to ensure their home fans don’t leave disappointed.

Tickets for Cage Warriors’ return to Liverpool can be bought from the Echo Arena here.
