Two of Irish MMA growing stars are set to compete in Italy on December 12th in the Venator FC promotion.
SBG’s Peter Queally (5-2) will compete at welterweight against Italian Roberto Rigamonti (4-1-1). Queally will be looking to bounce back after a decision loss in his last fight at EFC 40 earlier this year in South Africa.
Rigamonti might not be known amongst Irish fight fans but in his last fight he fought the very tough Jack Mason to a draw. Rigamonti’s only career loss was to a veteran of the European scene in Florent Betorangal.
Elsewhere on the card FAI’s undefeated light heavyweight Karl Moore (5-0) will compete in a four-man-tourney. Moore was scheduled to fight at Venator’s last event but had to withdraw due to injury.
The brackets for the tourney are as follows:
Prince Aounallah (9-4) vs. Karl Moore (5-0)
Mauro Cerilli (7-1) vs. Pietro Cappelli (0-1)
Moore’s opponent Prince Anounallah has 5 TKO/KO wins on his record and had made one appearance in Cage Warriors in 2013 losing to Mohamed Ali by submission. Anounallah gave Mauro Cerilli, a fighter in the other semi final, his first loss.
Before Moore travels to compete in Italy though he must first get through his fight with Scotland’s Paul Craig at BAMMA 22 in Dublin on September 19th.
